The Marketing Director will be responsible for the lead generation strategy that will enable the sales team to reach the growth targets, with a strong focus on client acquisition and conversion leveraging digital and offline channels. The Marketing Director will also have responsibility on Sector Alarm brand oversight and website management.
This role will report directly to the country Managing Director and indirectly (dotted line) to the Chief Marketing Officer.
The candidate will be part of the management team and is expected to actively contribute to the discussions driving the whole company forward.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead generation oversight
- One of the primary roles of marketing at Sector Alarm is generating customer leads, consequently the head of country marketing will be accountable for the lead generation strategy of the country:
- Definition of the strategy of lead generation channels and supervision of the execution of internal and agency personnel:
- Online: Paid search, Social, Programmatic, partnerships, affiliates
- Offline: TV, radio, billboard and print
- Exploration of new lead generation channels (e.g. new formats, partnerships or new sources)
- Oversight of agency performance. While agencies can be managed on a day to day basis by resources in the marketing team, ultimate accountability of performance will be with the Marketing Director
- Definition of the strategy of lead generation channels and supervision of the execution of internal and agency personnel:
Budgeting and forecasting
- Responsible for proposing, executing and controlling the marketing budget for the country; this includes prioritizing and reallocating budget, and ultimately owning results for marketing activities
Brand oversight
- Definition and development of the communication positioning of Sector Alarm in the market and of the corresponding brand identity (signature and graphic guidelines), in line with the group brand guidelines
- Production and deployment of that brand positioning to different media (TV, digital, print, , radio… ) with support of a creative and production agency
- Oversight of yearly campaign planning, ensuring optimal translation into media and website assets and content
Website optimization and adaptation
- Supervision of local resources in adapting the Sector Alarm website to local needs and in deploying the local SEO strategy in liaison with group marketing
- Responsible for improvement of website conversion rate by developing and overseeing the execution of an A/B testing roadmap

PROFILE & EXPERIENCE:
Data driven:
- History of instilling a rigorous, analytical and data-driven approach to all marketing activities
- Able to evidence having deployed highly data-driven, ROI-based marketing activities that have delivered commercial success
- Previous ownership for marketing budgets and forecasting activities
Experience with performance marketing:
- Experience in managing and scaling online acquisition channels optimizing the media mix. Will have built best-in-class and data-driven inbound lead-process, bringing sales and marketing together efficiently
- Exposure and understanding of offline marketing (specially TV) though agency support
- Understanding of attribution modeling and how to interpret results to determine the importance of bottom, mid, and upper funnel activities
- Expertise in digital audience optimization, creative, messaging, and/or user experience is a plus
Brand management
- Recognizes the importance of maintaining a clear and strong brand and ideally has experience in developing a distinctive and unique positioning for a brand
Agency management
- Experience setting agency agreements (RfPs, Statements of Work, Service Level Agreements…) and adhering to agency review processes such as regular meetings, reporting and backlogs
People leadership
- Will be a strong, inspiring leader and communicator, able to present a vision as well as take people on a journey
- Will have a proven track record in attracting, managing and developing outstanding talent
- Will be highly effective at cross-functional stakeholder management, and a strong and credible contributor to executive team decision-making
Experience operating in functional / ’utility’ categories and subscription businesses (nice to have)
- Will ideally have operated in product categories where customer awareness/ interest needs to be generated. Will also ideally have exposure to subscription business models
